This year’s musical was “It’s All Because of Jesus” (20 years of music) Des Moines Iowa and Kansas City Missouri

We traveled by coach bus to Iowa where we stayed at Jordan Park Camp, this is associated with the church that Shaly Moyal works at.  Shaly is a past Solid rock singer.  We had a service the next morning (Sunday) lead by the graduating seniors and they shared their favorite verses and what they felt Christ was doing in their lives and where they were heading in the fall.  On the road again we made it into Kansas City on Sunday  and got to St Luke’s church and prepared for our first worship service at Woods Chapel.  It was a great night.  Chrissy Mason and Pam Widell live there now and came and worshiped with us.  Scott Buell who used to do our sound met us there and shared worship with us!  God is an Amazing God.

We had three full days of mission work at two different projects, the group’s youth and adults split between the two projects.  First one was Renaissance, a church start up project, where windows were replaced. The community room was sheet rocked and prepped and painted and the Sunday school rooms were cleaned and painted and work was done in the parsonage next to the church and much more.  The second project was Hope, Faith Ministries and this is a homeless resource center.  The homeless of Kansas can come in here for breakfast and lunch, most of us serve food for the day or did dishes, other’s sorted merchandise for the stores or worked in the computer labs.   We lead worship here on Tuesday and it was truly amazing about 15 people came to Christ that day when asked to come forward by their pastor Brian!  God is good all the time.   We sorted clothes, served food, did dishes and general work around the center.

We took in a Kansas City Royals Baseball game, went to a wonderful Kansas City BBQ place and had fun at the water park, except for Sherry a fall in the pool and to the emergency room for her ankle.

We lead another wonderful worship service for children and youth at St Luke’s and it was so wonderful.  Three very unqince and different services and lives were touched at all of them.  God is Good All The Time!

What a year we went to Cedar, Atikin, Mora, Oglivie, Montrose, Zimmerman  Freshwater (new church for us)  they were all amazing and God filled.  We had 54 youth this year and home worship was March 31 and April 1, 2012. The kids did a great job.

THANK YOU CINDI FOSTER FOR ALL THE MEMORIES!
